Five people sustained injuries after a vehicle drove into Uncle Harry’s New York Bagelry at Cedar Avenue and Shaw Avenue in Fresno on Friday morning, January 3, 2025.
The Fresno Fire Department reported that the crash occurred around 11:00 a.m. when the driver of a silver Lexus mistakenly pressed the accelerator instead of the brakes.
The driver and a passenger were treated for injuries at the scene. Three individuals inside the bagel shop were also injured, with one transported to a hospital for further treatment.
Approximately 25 people were inside the restaurant at the time of the crash. The neighboring business, Jamba Juice, was evacuated as a precaution.
Uncle Harry’s New York Bagelry will remain closed for an undetermined period while the incident is under investigation.
