A pedestrian was fatally struck in a hit-and-run incident on southbound U.S. Highway 101 near Steele Lane in Santa Rosa on Saturday night, January 4, 2025.
According to the California Highway Patrol, officers were dispatched at around 10:10 p.m. after receiving reports of a pedestrian lying on the roadway.
Emergency personnel arrived to find a man deceased at the scene. The suspect vehicle was not at the location, and details about it remain limited.
The CHP is urging anyone with information regarding the incident or the suspect vehicle to contact the Santa Rosa CHP office at (707) 806-5600.
The incident remains under investigation.
