A 28-year-old woman succumbed to her injuries following a head-on collision in Fairfield early Sunday morning, January 5, 2025.
According to the Fairfield Police Department, the crash occurred at approximately 12:30 a.m. on Lopes Road near Silver Creek.
A vehicle traveling northbound on Lopes Road collided head-on with another vehicle traveling southbound after one of the cars crossed the double yellow lines.
Emergency responders transported the 28-year-old woman to a local hospital, where she later died from her injuries.
The driver of the other vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities.
