A driver was hospitalized after a collision with a semi-truck in Fresno on Monday afternoon, January 6, 2025.
According to the Fresno Police Department, the crash occurred shortly after 12:45 p.m. at the intersection of Nielsen and Hughes avenues.
Officers arrived to find a sedan that had collided with a semi-truck. Investigators determined that the sedan was traveling northbound on Hughes Avenue while the semi-truck was heading southbound. The sedan failed to negotiate a turn properly and struck the semi-truck.
The sedan’s driver was transported to a local hospital and is reported to be in stable condition. The driver of the semi-truck was uninjured.
Authorities confirmed that drugs or alcohol do not appear to have been factors in the collision.
The incident remains under investigation.
