A brush fire broke out in the 1100 block of Hamlet Drive, near La Cresta Road in Crest, east of El Cajon, on Thursday, January 9, 2025.
According to the California Highway Patrol, Emergency crews are responding to the scene to contain the fire and ensure public safety.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
