[01-10-2026] Fresno County, CA – Woman Seriously Injured After Hit-and-Run at Ashlan and Blackstone Ave.

A woman is in serious condition after being struck by a driver who fled the scene in Fresno on Saturday evening, January 10, 2026.

According to the Fresno Police Department, officers responded just after 6:00 p.m. to reports of a person hit by a vehicle at Ashlan and Blackstone avenues. 

When officers arrived, they found a woman in her late 20s lying in the roadway. First aid was provided on-site before she was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries.

Investigators said the driver of the vehicle fled the scene but was later stopped by police in the parking lot of a nearby Walmart. Police indicated they are conducting a DUI investigation on the driver.
