A Jeep and a semi-truck collided on a rural road in Merced County on Thursday morning, January 15, 2026.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred when the Jeep driver didn’t see the semi backing into a lot in time to slow down. The collision occurred after the Jeep hit the semi.
No injuries were reported, and the identities of those involved have not been officially revealed.
The cause of the crash was poor visibility due to dense fog.
