A 48-year-old man sustained serious injuries after being struck by a hit-and-run driver while riding his bicycle along Menifee Road on Thursday evening, January 23, 2025.
According to the Menifee Police Department, the collision occurred just before 7:00 p.m. near the intersection of Menifee and Triple Crown roads.
The bicyclist was traveling northbound with his back to traffic when a vehicle veered toward the shoulder and struck him. The driver fled the scene without stopping.
Emergency responders from the Riverside County Fire Department arrived at the scene and transported the victim to a regional trauma center with serious but non-life-threatening injuries to his arms and leg.
Authorities believe the suspect vehicle is a blue sedan with front-end damage. Anyone with information is urged to contact the Menifee Police Department’s Traffic Unit at (951) 723-1566 or (951) 723-1500.
