[01-25-2026] Santa Clara County, CA – Pedestrian Killed in Hit-and-Run Crash near Borello Dr. and South Bascom Ave.

A man was killed after being struck by a vehicle in a hit-and-run crash in West San Jose on Sunday evening, January 25, 2026.

According to the San Jose Police Department, the pedestrian collision was reported at approximately 6:03 p.m. near Borello Drive and South Bascom Avenue.

The injured man was transported to a hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. Authorities said the driver involved fled the scene following the crash.

Police did not immediately release additional details about the victim or the suspect vehicle.

The crash remains under investigation.
