[01-27-2026] Riverside County, CA – One Critically Injured After Two-Vehicle Collision at Markham St. and Harvill Ave. in Mead Valley

One person was hospitalized with critical injuries following a two-vehicle collision in Mead Valley, Riverside County, on Tuesday morning, January 27, 2026

According to the Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department, the crash occurred shortly after 7:00 a.m. at the intersection of Markham Street and Harvill Avenue.

Authorities said two white vehicles collided, sustaining major damage. One of the vehicles struck a light pole, trapping an occupant inside.

Fire crews performed extrication to free the trapped individual, who was then transported to a hospital in critical condition. 

Officials said the other person involved in the crash was not taken to a hospital, and no additional injuries were reported at the scene.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
