[01-27-2026] Sacramento County, CA – Two Boys Seriously Injured After Dirt Bike Crash in Front of Trajan Elementary School in Orangevale

Two boys were seriously injured after crashing a dirt bike into the back of a Toyota 4Runner in front of Trajan Elementary School in Orangevale, Sacramento County, on Tuesday, January 27, 2026.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision occurred in front of the school when the dirt bike struck the rear of the Toyota 4Runner. 

CHP said the boys were not wearing helmets and were ejected from the dirt bike upon impact. Authorities also reported receiving information that the dirt bike was being driven erratically prior to the crash.

Both boys were transported to a hospital for treatment. CHP stated that the 16-year-old driver of the dirt bike is suspected of driving under the influence and may have suffered facial fractures.

The crash remains under investigation by the CHP.
