[01-28-2026] Riverside County, CA – Seven Injured After Head-On Crash Near Ave. 66 and Buchanan St. in Mecca

Seven people suffered injuries ranging from minor to major following a head-on collision in Mecca, Riverside County, on Wednesday afternoon, January 28, 2026.

According to the Riverside County Fire Department, the crash was reported at approximately 3:30 p.m. in the area of Avenue 66 and Buchanan Street. Multiple emergency crews responded to the scene.

Fire officials stated that three individuals sustained minor injuries, while four others were airlifted to a local trauma center for further medical treatment. No additional details regarding the victims were released.
