A driver was injured following a hit-and-run crash in Tulare County on Wednesday afternoon, January 28, 2026.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision occurred around 4:30 p.m. on Road 238 south of Avenue 112.
Investigators said a pickup truck traveling northbound slowed to make a left turn into private property when it was struck from behind by another northbound vehicle.
CHP officials stated that the suspect vehicle was described as a white 2001 Dodge 3500 flatbed welding truck. The impact caused the pickup truck to overturn, resulting in injuries to its driver. The driver of the Dodge did not stop and fled the scene.
Authorities are asking anyone who witnessed the crash or has information about the suspect vehicle or driver to contact the California Highway Patrol Porterville Area office at (559) 784-7444.
The incident remains under investigation.
