Emergency crews responded to a collision between a semi-truck and two other vehicles, which resulted in minor to moderate injuries, in Bakersfield on Wednesday afternoon, January 29, 2025.
According to reports, the crash occurred at approximately 1:25 p.m. at the intersection of 24th and Oak Streets. A semi-truck reportedly collided with a vehicle in 24th Street’s westbound lanes, pinning a victim inside.
A gray car sustained driver’s side damage. The semi-truck also had visible damage to its front left fender. Bakersfield Fire Department crews had to cut off the driver’s door to safely remove the trapped victim.
Paramedics transported the injured victims for medical treatment, with injuries described as minor to moderate. It’s unclear how many people were injured.
The Bakersfield Police Department is investigating the cause of the crash.
