[01-30-2026] San Diego County, CA – 13-Year-Old Seriously Injured in Hit-and-Run Crash in Oceanside

A 13-year-old girl was seriously injured following a hit-and-run crash in Oceanside on Friday evening, January 30, 2026.

According to the Oceanside Police Department, officers responded around 7:40 p.m. to reports of a traffic collision at the intersection of Douglas Drive and Pala Road.

Upon arrival, officers found that a teenage girl from Oceanside had been struck by a vehicle that had fled the scene.

Authorities reported that the victim sustained major injuries and was transported by air ambulance to a hospital for treatment. Police said the girl had stable vital signs during transport.

Investigators stated that the suspect vehicle is believed to be a gray Toyota Camry with front-end damage.
