An ambulance and two other vehicles overturned following a hit-and-run crash in Elk Grove early Tuesday morning, February 3, 2026.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash was reported just after 5:30 a.m. on northbound Highway 99, just south of Sheldon Road.
CHP incident logs indicated that the collision involved multiple vehicles, including an ambulance.
Authorities stated that all northbound lanes were temporarily closed to allow for cleanup and recovery efforts. The roadway was later reopened after crews cleared the scene.
CHP confirmed that the incident was classified as a hit-and-run and that no injuries were reported.
The crash remains under investigation.
