Three people were injured following a four-vehicle crash on Highway 101 near Pismo Beach on Wednesday afternoon, February 4, 2026.
According to the California Highway Patrol’s Traffic Incident Information Page, the collision occurred at around 2:53 p.m. in the southbound lanes of Highway 101 south of the Price Street off-ramp.
The crash involved a Ram truck towing a flatbed car trailer, a white Lexus, a white minivan, and a gray Volkswagen Jetta.
CHP records indicated that multiple emergency responders were dispatched to the scene, including an ambulance and three tow trucks. Emergency radio traffic noted that no extrications were required, though it remained unclear whether any of the injured individuals were transported to a hospital.
The collision blocked one southbound lane, causing traffic to back up to Avila Beach Drive. Although tow trucks later cleared the scene, congestion persisted as far north as Los Osos Valley Road until 5 p.m.
Authorities continue to investigate the cause of the crash.
What A Lawyer Can Do For You
Many victims put off calling a lawyer even if they sustain injuries after an accident. However, lawyers can help you in many ways. They can provide you with police reports, CCTV footage, and witness statements to strengthen your case. Your attorney will also negotiate with insurance companies to get you fair compensation. The best part is that they will do all of these things for you at no upfront cost. So if you’re injured in an accident, hire a personal injury attorney to recover medical bills, car repair costs, lost wages, and pain and suffering.
