Three people were killed after a tractor-trailer struck a disabled pickup truck on the 91 Freeway in Buena Park early Friday morning, February 7, 2025.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred just before 4:00 a.m. on the eastbound lanes of the freeway near Valley View Street.
Authorities reported that the pickup truck had been involved in a prior collision and was stopped on the freeway when the tractor-trailer crashed into it.
All three adult occupants of the pickup truck died at the scene. Their identities have not been released pending notification of next of kin.
The driver of the tractor-trailer remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation. It remains unclear whether rainy conditions played a role in the collision.
