A two-vehicle traffic collision prompted a medical response in Fallbrook, San Diego County, on Monday evening, February 9, 2026.
The California Highway Patrol reported that the crash occurred around 6:53 p.m. at the intersection of South Mission Road and West Fig Street, in front of the Fallbrook Library. The collision involved a gray Honda Civic and a black Jeep Wrangler.
CHP initially classified the incident as a non-injury crash. However, the status was later upgraded to a medical response at approximately 7:48 p.m. after a reporting party stated that their mother was feeling ill at the scene.
Emergency crews with the North County Fire Protection District responded to the location. Engine 111 and Medic 115 were dispatched, though Medic 115 was later canceled after arriving on scene. Fire personnel cleared the incident at approximately 7:59 p.m.
Authorities said the individuals involved were listed with injuries of unknown severity. The circumstances surrounding the crash remain under investigation.
