A pedestrian was hospitalized after being struck by a hit-and-run driver in southwest Bakersfield on Wednesday night, February 11, 2026.
According to the Bakersfield Police Department, the incident occurred just before 7:00 p.m. at the intersection of Gosford Road and White Lane.
The pedestrian was struck by a vehicle traveling northbound on Gosford Road. The driver fled the scene immediately following the crash.
The pedestrian was transported to a nearby hospital with moderate injuries. Authorities have not released a description of the driver or the vehicle involved.
The Bakersfield Police Department is asking anyone with information about the incident to come forward. The investigation is ongoing.
