[02-11-2026] Lake County, CA – Two Killed in Head-On Crash Near Hidden Valley Lake

Two Clearlake residents, identified as Kristina Rae L., 36, and Victoria Rose B., 15, were killed in a head-on crash near Hidden Valley Lake in Lake County on Wednesday afternoon, February 11, 2026. 

The California Highway Patrol’s Clear Lake Area office reported that the crash occurred just after 3:00 p.m. on Highway 29, north of Hidden Valley Lake. The CHP said Kristina Rae, driving an Acura, was traveling south on Highway 29 with Victoria Rose as the passenger.

For unknown reasons, the driver crossed over the double yellow lines into the path of a northbound Dodge Ram 3500 pickup truck driven by Steven C. of Middletown. The vehicles collided head-on, causing major damage to both.

Kristina Rae and Victoria Rose were pronounced dead at the scene. Steven was transported by ambulance to Adventist Health Clear Lake Hospital with injuries.

CHP officers established one-way traffic control for approximately three hours while first responders cleared the wreckage. The cause of the crash is under investigation, and it remains unclear if drugs or alcohol were factors.
