[02-13-2026] San Luis Obispo County, CA – Elderly Woman Killed, Two Injured in Two-Vehicle Crash in Atascadero

An elderly woman was killed, and two others were injured in a two-vehicle collision in Atascadero on Friday afternoon, February 13, 2026.

Police and firefighters responded at around 3:00 p.m. to the 9000 block of El Camino Real following reports of a crash requiring extrication.

Upon arrival, first responders found an overturned sedan blocking the sidewalk and a pickup truck positioned on an embankment. The passenger of the overturned sedan, identified by police as an elderly female, was pronounced dead at the scene. 

The driver of the sedan was extricated and transported to a hospital with major injuries. The driver of the pickup truck was also taken to a hospital with moderate injuries.

Authorities are asking anyone who witnessed the crash or has additional information to contact the Atascadero Police Department at (805) 461-5051. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
