A pedestrian was killed after being struck by a vehicle near Fifth Street and Rose Avenue in Oxnard early Sunday morning, February 16, 2025.
According to the Oxnard Police Department, the incident occurred just before 5:00 a.m. when a 29-year-old Oxnard man driving a white Honda Pilot hit the pedestrian. The victim died at the scene, and traffic investigators took over the case.
Authorities stated that speed, alcohol, and drugs do not appear to be factors in the crash. Early investigations indicate that the pedestrian was crossing the road outside of a marked crosswalk when the collision occurred.
