Two drivers were hospitalized after a pickup truck rolled onto its side following a head-on collision with a car on Broadway in Eureka on Tuesday afternoon, February 17, 2026.
According to the Eureka Police Department (EPD), officers responded to reports of a GMC truck driving recklessly around 12:41 p.m. Upon arrival, police found the GMC had collided with a Hyundai and rolled onto its side.
The driver of the GMC was extricated from the vehicle by Humboldt Bay Fire crews and transported to a local hospital, appearing to experience a medical emergency at the time.
The driver of the Hyundai sustained major injuries and required extrication. After being transported to a local hospital, the driver was airlifted to receive further medical care.
Three vehicles were involved in the incident, including one that was side-swiped and sustained minor damage. Authorities do not suspect intoxication or intentional reckless driving as factors in the crash.
The incident remains under investigation.
