A motorcyclist was killed after a collision with a box truck on Churn Creek Road in Redding on Wednesday morning, February 19, 2025.
According to the Redding Police Department, the incident occurred at approximately 6:55 a.m. just north of Presidio Street.
The motorcyclist was traveling northbound at an unsafe speed for the conditions when they crossed into the southbound lane, colliding with a box truck driven by 43-year-old Christopher Lee.
The impact ejected the motorcyclist from the bike, and despite life-saving efforts by bystanders and medical personnel, the motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.
The identity of the victim is being withheld pending notification of next-of-kin.
The Redding Police Department’s Traffic Unit is investigating the cause of the collision.
