[02-24-2025] Stanislaus County, CA – Two Injured Following Rollover Crash on I-5 Near Westley

Two people sustained major injuries after a rollover crash on southbound Interstate 5, a mile north of Ingram Creek Road near Westley in Stanislaus County, on Monday morning, February 24, 2025.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred at approximately 5:30 a.m. when a 2007 Toyota Camry driven by 20-year-old Guerrero M. of Fairfield overturned on I-5.

Guerrero was driving southbound at an unknown speed in the first lane, with 21-year-old Teagan T. of Suisun City, as the front passenger.

For reasons still under investigation, the Toyota drifted to the left into the center median. Guerrero overcorrected to the right, causing the vehicle to cross both southbound lanes, rotate clockwise, and overturn several times before landing on its wheels.

Guerrero was airlifted to Doctors Medical Center with major injuries, while Teagan was transported by ground to Memorial Medical Center with serious injuries.

Both occupants were wearing seatbelts, and the vehicle’s airbags were deployed.

Authorities do not suspect DUI was a factor in the crash. The cause of the collision is under investigation.
