A 36-year-old bicyclist sustained fractures to a leg and an arm after being struck by an SUV on Midway Drive in San Diego on Tuesday evening, February 25, 2025.
According to the San Diego Police Department, the collision occurred at approximately 8:09 p.m. in the 2300 block of Midway Drive near the intersection with Enterprise Street.
A 55-year-old man was driving a 2000 Nissan XTerra westbound on Midway Drive with a green light when the bicyclist rode into the path of the SUV, leading to the collision.
The injured bicyclist was transported to a hospital for treatment of leg and arm fractures.
Authorities stated that alcohol was not a factor in the collision.
The San Diego Police Department’s Traffic Division is investigating the cause of the crash.
