A garbage truck collided with an SUV after running a red light in Fresno on Wednesday, February 25, 2026.
The crash occurred just before noon at the intersection of Friant Road and Shepherd Avenue.
The garbage truck driver applied the brakes before impact, preventing significant damage. Fortunately, no one was injured in the collision. However, the crash caused traffic disruptions for more than an hour.
The incident was captured by a webcam known as Friant Roulette, which regularly records similar crashes, many caused by red-light runners.
The investigation is ongoing.
