A pickup driver fled the scene after hitting a pedestrian who sustained major injuries in eastern Guerneville, Sonoma County, on Monday night, March 2, 2026.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident occurred around 11:30 p.m. on River Road, west of Bonita Avenue.
Authorities discovered the injured man and transported him to Providence Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital. His condition was not immediately available on Tuesday afternoon.
Investigators found vehicle parts at the scene, which they believe are from a 2016 to 2022 metallic gray Toyota Tacoma, possibly with side mirrors containing turn signals.
Anyone with information about the crash or who was in the area is urged to contact the CHP. The investigation is ongoing.
