A 77-year-old woman was killed in a two-vehicle crash on Highway 111 in Palm Springs on Monday morning, March 3, 2025.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred at approximately 11:55 a.m. near Overture Drive.
CHP Officer David Torres reported that a black Ford pickup truck crossed in front of a white Mazda SUV traveling southbound, causing the Mazda to broadside the truck.
The Mazda’s occupant, identified as 77-year-old Susan C., was transported to Desert Regional Medical Center, where she died less than three hours later.
The Ford’s driver, a man, reported experiencing pain but did not suffer serious injuries. He was the only occupant of his vehicle.
Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
