[03-04-2026] San Diego County, CA – Driver Flees After Crash in Mid-City Area

San Diego Police are searching for a driver who fled the scene after crashing into another car in the Mid-City area, in San Diego County, early Wednesday morning, March 4, 2026.

According to the San Diego Police Department, the collision occurred shortly after 1:00 a.m. near 58th Street and University Avenue. 

Officers said the hit-and-run driver abandoned a red Honda Civic at the scene.

The driver of the other vehicle was transported to a hospital with injuries, though their condition has not been released.
