[03-09-2025] One Person Injured After Three-Vehicle Crash on I-880 Near Marina Boulevard in San LeandroOne person sustained injuries following a three-vehicle crash in San Leandro on Sunday afternoon, March 9, 2025.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred around 5:00 p.m. on northbound Interstate 880, just north of Marina Boulevard.

The vehicle responsible for the crash had two occupants, neither of whom were injured. Another vehicle also had two occupants with no reported injuries. However, the third vehicle, which carried five occupants, had one individual transported to the hospital due to neck, head, and ankle pain.

Authorities confirmed that drugs and alcohol were not factors in the crash. The San Leandro Police Department initially pursued the at-fault driver but ceased the chase when the suspect drove the wrong way. The driver was later arrested by SLPD.

The investigation is ongoing.
