[03-10-2025] Power Outage Affects Over 2,700 Customers After Two-Vehicle Crash in ClovisA two-vehicle crash caused a power outage affecting over 2,700 customers in Clovis early Monday morning, March 10, 2025.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision occurred around 5:00 a.m. near Alluvial and DeWolf Avenues when a sedan failed to stop at a stop sign, striking a pickup truck. 

The impact caused the truck to crash into a power pole and hit an anchor wire, leading to the widespread outage.

Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E) initially reported 2,738 affected customers. As of 7:30 a.m., the number had been reduced to 111, with full restoration expected by 4:00 p.m.

Authorities confirmed that no injuries were reported and that drugs or alcohol were not involved.
