Two picketers from Amalgamated Transit Union (ATU) Local 265 sustained injuries after being struck by a vehicle in San Jose on Monday morning, March 10, 2025.
According to the San Jose Police Department, officers responded to the incident around 9:14 a.m. on the 3900 block of Zanker Road, near the Cerone VTA Yard.
A video of the collision showed a white pickup truck making contact with two picketers wearing neon safety vests, causing them to fall to the ground. One victim reportedly suffered leg injuries and lacerations, while the other experienced neck swelling and additional wounds.
Authorities stated that the driver remained at the scene and was cooperating with the investigation. The incident remains under review
