A driver sustained critical injuries after a rollover crash caused by a hit-and-run on northbound Interstate 15 in Victorville early Saturday morning, March 15, 2025.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash was reported at approximately 5:27 a.m., just north of Bear Valley Road.
The victim’s vehicle, a black Crown Victoria, was struck by another car, which fled the scene. The impact caused the Crown Victoria to roll over onto its side, coming to rest approximately 100-200 feet off the roadway.
Emergency responders extricated the driver before transporting him to St. Mary’s Medical Center in Apple Valley due to the severity of his injuries.
Initially, a helicopter from Mercy Air 2 was requested for air transport, but paramedics later determined the driver was too unstable to be airlifted.
Further investigation led authorities to a Volkswagen Jetta found in the parking lot of the GreenTree Inn on Mariposa Road, just south of Palmdale Road. The vehicle had deployed airbags and was confirmed to be involved in the hit-and-run. The driver of the Jetta was detained at the scene.
The CHP continues to investigate the incident. Anyone with information is urged to contact the authorities.

What A Lawyer Can Do For You
Many victims put off calling a lawyer even if they sustain injuries after an accident. However, lawyers can help you in many ways. They can provide you with police reports, CCTV footage, and witness statements to strengthen your case. Your attorney will also negotiate with insurance companies to get you fair compensation. The best part is that they will do all of these things for you at no upfront cost. So if you’re injured in an accident, hire a personal injury attorney to recover medical bills, car repair costs, lost wages, and pain and suffering.
