A 31-year-old mother was arrested for driving under the influence after a high-speed crash in Napa killed her two children on Sunday morning, March 16, 2025.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred around 7:30 a.m. near the West Imola Avenue off-ramp on Highway 29.
The woman was reportedly driving at a high rate of speed when she lost control and slammed into a tree.
Her 10-year-old son and 9-year-old daughter, who were both wearing seatbelts, were pronounced dead at the scene.
The mother was transported to a hospital for treatment before being arrested on DUI charges.
Authorities have not released additional details as the investigation remains ongoing.
