A pedestrian sustained minor injuries after being struck by a car in the U.S. Bank parking lot in Santa Barbara on Saturday morning, March 21, 2026.
According to Santa Barbara City Fire Department Battalion Chief Jon Turner, emergency personnel responded at around 8:57 a.m. on East Carrillo Street.
Initially, reports suggested the incident may have occurred near the Santa Barbara Farmers Market, but crews later found the crash had occurred in the parking lot of U.S. Bank at Anacapa and Carrillo streets.
The pedestrian, who had been sitting on a sandstone wall by the sidewalk, was knocked over when the car left a parking spot.
The pedestrian was transported to the hospital by American Medical Response with minor injuries.
The investigation into the collision is ongoing.
