A four-car crash stalled rush-hour traffic on the southbound 55 Freeway in Costa Mesa on Tuesday morning, March 24, 2026.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred at 10:19 a.m. near 22nd Street and involved a white van, a silver hybrid, a blue sedan, and a pickup truck.
At least one person was injured in the crash.
Motorists were advised to avoid the area or take alternate routes as traffic delays were expected to last through the morning.
The investigation is ongoing.
