A man was killed, and a juvenile driver was arrested on suspicion of DUI and vehicular manslaughter following a two-vehicle crash in San Jose early Sunday morning, March 29, 2026.
According to the San Jose Police Department, the collision occurred around 1:05 a.m. at the intersection of Curtner Avenue and the southbound Highway 87 off-ramp.
The juvenile driver of a Honda Accord, with a female passenger, crashed into a Chevrolet Malibu, making a turn onto eastbound Curtner Avenue from the off-ramp.
The male driver of the Chevrolet Malibu was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity will be released by the Santa Clara County Office of the Medical Examiner.
The juvenile driver and his passenger were transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The juvenile was later booked into juvenile hall for felony DUI and vehicular manslaughter. His exact age has not been released.
The investigation is ongoing.
