A passenger was seriously injured in a DUI crash on County Road 200, west of Orland in Glenn County, after the driver lost control of his SUV on Thursday afternoon, April 2, 2026.
California Highway Patrol reported that 66-year-old Stanley G. was driving his 2007 Subaru Forester westbound around 12:36 p.m. when he veered off the right side of the road and crashed into a metal guard rail while approaching an ‘S’ curve. Stanley was traveling about 60 mph in a posted 55 mph zone.
Stanley, who was wearing his seatbelt, avoided major injuries, but his passenger, identified as Mr. Skarry, was not wearing his seatbelt and suffered suspected major injuries. The passenger was transported to Enloe Hospital in Chico for treatment.
The driver was arrested on felony DUI charges for causing injuries. The crash remains under investigation.
