A man was killed in a two-vehicle crash in rural Tulare County on Saturday afternoon, April 4, 2026.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred at 2:48 p.m. on Avenue 384, west of Road 118.
The driver of a black 2015 Ford Mustang was traveling eastbound on Avenue 384 at an unknown speed when, for unknown reasons, he crossed over the double yellow lines into westbound traffic and collided head-on with a white Ford pickup.
The 21-year-old male driver of the Mustang was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The 62-year-old male driver of the Ford pickup sustained major injuries and was transported to Kaweah Medical Center in Visalia.
It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs were factors in the crash. The identities of the drivers have not been released.
The incident remains under investigation.
