Two men were killed in a high-speed crash involving a green BMW M3 in Granite Bay in Placer County, early Sunday morning, April 6, 2025.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal collision occurred around 3:15 a.m. on Eureka Road east of Bridle Path Lane. Officers reported that the BMW M3 was traveling westbound at high speeds when the driver lost control and crashed into a tree.
Both the driver and passenger were pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities have not yet released their identities but confirmed that they were both males.
The roadway was closed for approximately four hours Sunday morning while investigators examined the scene.
Driving under the influence is suspected as a factor in the crash. The investigation remains ongoing.
