A 30-year-old woman died following a single-vehicle rollover crash on southbound Interstate 5 near Highway 33, just outside Santa Nella in Merced County, shortly after midnight on Tuesday, April 8, 2025.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a Subaru Outback veered toward the center divider, crossed the lanes, and overturned several times.
The woman, one of five occupants in the vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene. The remaining passengers are expected to recover.
Authorities stated that drugs or alcohol were not factors in the collision. The crash remains under investigation.
