Two people were injured in a hit-and-run crash involving a driverless Waymo vehicle in San Francisco on Friday night, April 10, 2026.
According to the San Francisco Police Department, officers responded at around 9:38 p.m. to a head-on collision at the intersection of 47th Avenue and Lincoln Way.
Upon arrival, officers located the autonomous Waymo vehicle and an unoccupied car. Investigators report that the driver of the other vehicle fled the scene following the crash.
The occupants of the Waymo vehicle were transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The investigation remains ongoing.
