[04-14-2026] San Diego County, CA – Motorcyclist Injured in Collision on I-15 Near Rainbow Valley

A motorcyclist was injured in a traffic collision on southbound Interstate 15 near Rainbow Valley, San Diego County, early Tuesday morning, April 14, 2026.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash was reported at around 7:02 a.m. on I-15 south near Rainbow Valley Boulevard.

A motorcycle rider was down in the middle lane following the collision. A second vehicle, described as a Kia sedan carrying a family of seven, was also involved but moved to the right shoulder.

Fire personnel reported that the crash blocked one to two lanes of traffic. A tow service was requested, and CHP units coordinated traffic control while additional resources were awaited.
