[04-15-2025] Woman Killed After Jumping from Moving Truck on Millerton and North Fork Roads in FriantA woman died after jumping out of a moving pickup truck and being run over in Fresno County on Tuesday night, April 15, 2025.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident occurred just before 9:00 p.m. near Millerton and North Fork roads in Friant. 

The 34-year-old woman was seated in the front passenger seat when she exited the moving vehicle and was subsequently run over by one of the truck’s rear tires.

She was pronounced dead at the scene. The 20-year-old male driver, who identified himself as the woman’s boyfriend, told officers he had been traveling at approximately 40 miles per hour when the incident occurred.

CHP officials stated that the driver is cooperating with the investigation and is not currently in custody. No foul play is suspected at this time, and domestic violence, drugs, and alcohol have been ruled out for the driver.

Toxicology results for the woman are pending, and investigators are seeking surveillance footage to aid in the investigation.
