A 54-year-old woman was killed in a suspected two-vehicle DUI crash on Pacific Coast Highway in Huntington Beach on Wednesday evening, April 15, 2026.
According to the Huntington Beach Police Department, the crash occurred around 10:40 p.m. south of Warner Avenue.
A preliminary investigation revealed that a Kia Soul was traveling northbound on PCH when it was struck from behind by a BMW 328i traveling in the same direction, sending the Kia into the marsh.
HBPD officers, along with Huntington Beach Lifeguards, extracted the woman from the Kia. Paramedics transported her to a local hospital, where she later died from her injuries. The driver of the BMW, a 24-year-old man from Long Beach, was arrested on suspicion of DUI.
The incident is under investigation by the HBPD Multidisciplinary Accident Investigation Team.
