A two-vehicle collision on Interstate 15 near State Route 76 in San Diego County resulted in minor injuries and caused temporary lane disruptions early Wednesday morning, April 15, 2026.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash was reported at around 3 a.m. on the southbound side of I-15 at the SR-76 interchange.
Initial reports indicated the collision involved a silver Honda and an unidentified second vehicle. At least one vehicle was blocking lanes following the incident, with one vehicle coming to a stop partially in a lane and another possibly pulling over to the right-hand shoulder. Traffic was initially reported blocked, but later updates confirmed that some traffic was still moving, with minor obstructions.
A stalled vehicle was reported in the number two lane, prompting a request for CHP assistance. Roadside assistance and a tow truck were dispatched to remove at least one of the vehicles involved. By 5:20 a.m., all lanes had reopened.
Although the collision was classified as a minor injury crash, the extent of the injuries to those involved was not immediately clear. Investigators are awaiting additional video evidence related to the incident, which remains under investigation.
