One person was seriously injured after a two-vehicle head-on crash in Ramona, San Diego County, on Tuesday afternoon, April 16, 2024.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident occurred at about 5:59 p.m. between Mussey Grade Road and Mount Woodson Road.
Upon arrival, authorities found one vehicle that had overturned and another with major damage on its front end. One person was trapped inside one of the vehicles involved and needed to be extricated. The rescued victim was taken to a nearby hospital with major injuries.
Meanwhile, the other person was evaluated at the scene and was released promptly after authorities saw no signs of injuries.
The cause of the crash is still unknown. The identities of the parties involved and their present conditions were not disclosed as well.
