One person was killed, and two others were injured after a crash involving a Honda Pilot in Kings County on Friday evening, April 17, 2026.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred around 4:50 p.m. on Highway 41, north of Quebec Avenue.
Investigators said a woman driving a 2020 Honda Pilot was traveling northbound and attempted to pass another vehicle by entering the southbound lane. As a southbound vehicle approached, the driver was unable to complete the pass safely and made an unsafe left turn, resulting in the vehicle leaving the roadway.
The Honda overturned into a dry canal. A passenger in the vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver and another passenger sustained moderate injuries and were transported to Kaweah Delta Medical Center in Visalia for treatment.
The incident remains under investigation.
